Why Active English School<\/h2><\/div>

Active English School was founded in 2000 by native English-speaking ESOL* teachers from Britain.<\/strong>\u00a0 Our aim has always been that each of our students should have the knowledge which enables them to gain widely accepted, internationally recognised,<\/strong> English language certificates as an aid to employment and\/or further education at home or abroad.<\/p>\n

Learning English properly is a long-term commitment<\/strong> from both students and teachers alike.\u00a0 It pays dividends however, as in today’s world of instant global communication, being able to speak and write English is a necessity.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Although we take students of any age, we know that the most effective way to achieve the highest level of English language knowledge is for children to grow up with the language<\/strong>, using it in context and eventually thinking in English.\u00a0They quickly start enjoying the language with us<\/strong>, understanding and learning new words with pleasure.<\/p>\n<\/div>

And so, to be properly committed to our students means getting to know each and every one of them: what they are good at; what they are not so good at; what they are interested in; what their future plans and ambitions are, and always, when it comes to assessing their English language learning abilities, acting in their best interests.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

In order to always provide ‘the personal touch’<\/strong>, and despite being a successful and sought-after school, we have preferred to remain relatively small and exclusive, with the vast majority of our students coming to us via recommendation from existing or past students<\/strong>. Some of those past students now bring their children to us to learn English.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The fact that we sometimes have to place applicants on a waiting list when we have filled the classes that would have suited them, means that we do not subscribe to the practice of enrolling students into the school purely to increase numbers.<\/p>\n

If you plan on studying abroad<\/strong>, we will help and advise you to choose which exam best fits your needs, whether it\u2019s CAE or CPE that we can prepare you for, or IELTS or SAT\u2019s if you plan to study in the US.<\/p>\n<\/div>
